Matheson, Charles Edwin -
A private graveside service for Mr. Charles Edwin Matheson, age 79, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Bro. Mark Barron officiating. Mr. Matheson passed from this life on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Ed was born in Johnson County, TN, on November 19, 1940, the son of the late Earl and Beatrice Matheson. Ed was an Elder member and Sunday school teacher for over 37 years at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Manchester. He owned Ed Matheson Insurance Agency in Manchester before his retirement. He was a member of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Jaycee’s, and Kiwanis Club for many years. Ed loved to golf and spend time with family.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Ed is also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Matheson and sister, Margie Ann Watson. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Matheson; son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Huiyon Matheson and granddaughter, Ellie Matheson.
